San Diego Vacations. So Many Options, So Little Time!

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

If you’re planning a vacation in San Diego is good news and bad news. In fact, the bad news is good news. The fact is that there is much to do in San Diego that is guaranteed to have a great time, regardless of their favorite activities. This is good news, much to do. The bad news is that you can literally spend weeks visiting all useful landmarks, theme parks, museums, beaches, etc. As you can assemble all in a week or a couple of days? The difficulty of knowing what to do in a limited program is bad news.
In an attempt to provide some local knowledge we share many of the major destinations of San Diego, how long does it take to feel satisfied with their visit. With few exceptions, most of these points are not far from downtown.
What activities could take at least a day and maybe more? The first thing that comes to mind is the Sea World. Unless you’ve been there recently, it is necessary to block a reasonable day for that entire large marine theme park. If the group includes die-hard fans of ocean life, dolphin show and the atmosphere of Sea World, you could spend at least part of a second day. But if you’re short on time, allowing a day.
Another day trip Legoland, in northern San Diego County. The trip is 45 minutes one-way if traffic is reasonable. If you have Kiddos little, you can spend a day unless the weather is very hot. In this case, comes when the park opens because the actual heat that hit in the afternoon. Some people may want to spend more than a day at Legoland, but one day will be sufficient for most of us.
If you like museums, San Diego is the place for you. There are tons of great museums in this city and could record a couple of days on this task alone. Decide whether your preference is more mainstream art museums and museums of history, or if you want to visit the Surf Museum or the USS Midway aircraft as a living museum.
Of course you can easily spend a couple of days in the historic Gaslamp District near the Old Town and Old Town or San Diego Zoo (you can spend a day at the zoo in the world).
We just added a whole week and are not talking about golf, beaches, Coronado Island and the famous Hotel del Coronado or near Tijuana, Mexico. Nor have we touched fishing, historic Julian on the slopes east of the city or drive 59 miles across the county. Most of the activities mentioned above can enjoy half-day vacation in San Diego. So you can plan two or three short activities in one day. But do not get into the activities of each day, eat and reduce the element of fun. Built in a day or two to make about one of several beaches.
If you receive more detailed and assign the timing of a couple dozen more compelling activities is that it would take a month to hear that it has reached all the great opportunities. From the typical tourist who does not have much time, look at the many options and identify the things that are unique or feel cheated if you lose, or that the use of so many people in your family. It is good to have so many choices, but it means that you spend some ‘of his time in San Diego for vacations in advance.
